In Part I, you learned what happened up until the moment of temptation. In this C. H. E. Sadaphal sermon, you will be empowered to learn what to do in the temptation and what escape doors to take.

Dr. Sadaphal highlights three strategies you can use so that you can conquer those hurdles standing in your more perfect service to Christ. We all can escape temptation, but we have to escape to God.

(1) The Light of the Word of God. In Luke 4, we see that even God stands under the Word of God. By reading, studying, and reflecting upon the Bible, we will be able to invoke the power of the One, Jesus, who defeated the devil. If you don’t know the Bible, you don’t know the One who conquered. You have to be the one who turns on the light switch. Otherwise, you may be too late.

(2) Fight desire with desire. The solution to satisfying your drives is not to suppress them. Rather, you have to find a means to re-channel them.

(3) Endurance. When faced with a struggle, there are three options: fight, flee, or stand firm. In order to stand firm, we have to prepare for war in order to wait on God and patiently endure the trials ahead. Endurance is the the fundamental key to breaking the cycle of temptation forever, and God has already given is the armor needed to remain still in the height of battle.
